It was on this day ten years ago, August 22nd, 2014, that Netflix premiered its first ever animated comedy series, Bojack Horseman, the award winning & beloved adult animated show that ran for six seasons & ended in 2020. In honor of the monumental anniversary, today the streamer & and its series creator, Raphael Bob-Waksberg, have announced they're reuniting for a brand new animated comedy series - Long Story Short.

According to the show's logline, the series is "about a family, over time. It’s about the shared history, the inside jokes, the old wounds. If you’ve ever had a mother, father, sibling, partner, or child, this is the show for you and by the way would it kill you to call them?"
Bob-Waksberg will write and serve as showrunner on the series. He will executive produce alongside Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen for Tornante Television. Lisa Hanawalt is supervising producer and will design the original art for the series. ShadowMachine is producing out of their LA animation studio. Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley will serve as co-executive producers.
In a quote from a press release, Bob-Waksberg said, “It is legitimately a thrill and an honor to be back doing what I love most: drafting enthusiastic pull quotes for press releases to Hollywood trade publications. Who says you can't go home again?!”
