On Monday, Stephen Colbert took to The Late Show in a different setting. Colbert was at home without an audience, announcing that he had COVID. The vibe was not unlike that of 2020 and 2021, with Colbert at home in quarantine addressing the camera and conducting interviews.
Initially, the plan was for Stephen Colbert to host the show remotely it seems like. But last night, the show pulled the scheduled show. Today, we’ve learned that his show will be airing repeats this week so he can rest.
What Stephen Colbert had to say about getting COVID (again).
“Sorry to say, per doctor’s orders, I’m going to be out for the rest of the week. Resting up so that I can deliver the hand crafted, artisanal talk show that we so enjoy serving you. In the meantime, a heady blend of Paxlovid and onions in my socks (thank you, Fallon) will be rebuilding my immune system,” Colbert said.
We’re wishing Stephen Colbert a speedy recovery so he can be back next week!
