This Week In Comedy: Bill Burr is making his directorial debut in a brand new Netflix comedy. In Old Dads - which premieres this Friday-, “three best friends (Bill Burr, Bobby Cannavale, Bokeem Woodbine) become fathers later in life and find themselves battling preschool principals, millennial CEOs and anything created after 1987.”
Also this week, comedian Heather McMahan has a brand new special coming out. Shot in Lexington, Kentucky McMahan “tackles body image, drugs, sex, fertility, grief, and so much more,” in her first special for the streamer. Heather McMahan: Son I Never Had premieres Tuesday.
Plus, the film Dicks: The Musical opens in theaters everywhere. What started as a show in the basement of UCB in New York has been turned into a full-fledged film from director Larry Charles and co-starring Megan Mually and Nathan Lane. Also, there’s incredibly grotesque sewer boy puppets.
