Remembering the legendary Bob Newhart.

Before becoming the iconic star he's known for around the world, Newhart was originally an accountant at nearly 30 years old before discovering his gifting in comedy. Newhart had an illustrious & legendary career that included winning two Grammy Awards for Album of the Year & Best New Artist for his breakthrough comedy album in 1960, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart. He later starred in his own hit TV shows on CBS including The Bob Newhart Show & Newhart.

Bob also appeared in many fan favorite feature films including Elf, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Catch 22 and Legally Blonde 2. Further on in television, he famously played recurring character Arthur Jeffries (under the alias PRofessor Proton, a host of the children's science show) on the hit CBS series The Big Bang Theory, for which he won his first-ever Emmy Award.

Last year, filmmaker Judd Apatow put out a documentary short centering on the iconic friendship of Bob Newhart & Don Rickles titled Bob And Don: A Love Story.

So sad to hear of Bob’s passing. He was my favorite comedian. I’m glad another generation got to know him on The Big Bang Theory.
