Saturday Night Live star & Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost is a man of many talents who's also proven to be an excellent host of many shows (and clearly sought after for the best reasons). This year, he was seen hosting this year's White House Correspondents Dinner, the Surfing Competition at this past summer's Olympics, and this past September he co-hosted the comedy showcase New York After Dark with Michael Che on Peacock.
And for his latest hosting gig: Jost is putting the "pop" in pop culture in Prime Video's newest iteration of the classic game show Jeopardy aptly titled Pop Culture Jeopardy. The new show premieres December 4th on Prime Video & we have a first look at the new game show.
Taking a brand-new twist on the classic quiz show’s “answer-and-question” format, Pop Culture Jeopardy combines the academic rigor of Jeopardy! with the excitement and unpredictability of pop culture. Contestants, playing in teams of three, will need to be experts in categories from Alternative Rock to The Avengers; Broadway to MMA; Gen Z to Zendaya as they compete in a tournament-style event for the grand prize of $300,000 and ultimate bragging rights.
The show is part of a push Prime Video has been doing with its Winning Wednesdays game shows like Buy It Now with JB Smoove and Wish List Games with Nick Cannon.
When does Colin Jost's new game show "Pop Culture Jeopardy" premiere?
The new show premieres Wednesday, December 4 on Prime Video with three episodes, followed by three new episodes weekly for a 40 episode season.
