Late night television has not been the same since Conan O'Brien ended his nearly three decade long run as an Emmy®-award winning talk show host in 2021. Thankfully, we still see him doing lots of amazing work with his Team Coco Podcast Network & production company.
After teasing a sneak peek nearly a year ago, his newest show is finally premiering next month and we have another look at his series hosting return in the official trailer for his new travel series, Conan O'Brien Must Go.
What to know about the new show, "Conan O'Brien Must Go."
In the new show, Conan steps into a new hosting gig visiting new friends he met through his podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan (the sub-series of his popular podcast, Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend) where he dives deep with listeners from around the world. Making stops in Norway, Thailand, Argentina, and Ireland, O’Brien surprises some of his most memorable fans while also taking in local culture, cuisine, and sights.
The first trailer gives a first look at all the places Conan visits and his funny encounters with fans on international waters. In a tease of the Argentina stop of the tour, a debate ensues about which exactly is the right way to pronounce "tango." Is it "tehn-go" or is it "tahn-go"? The local Argentinian chef & Conan's travel guide jokingly disagree as the guide insists it's "tahn-go." Conan replies, "It's not "tahn-go," these people live here!"
The legendary comedian first announced the show's April 18th premiere date during a fireside chat at this year's SXSW in Austin, Texas.
When speaking to Variety about the new series, he said “There are funny people all over the globe and they all have their own rhythm. Everyone in Ireland is a comedian… I love talking to people who don’t know who I am, don’t care. I’m a connection junkie, I like to connect with people. I think this show is my way to get my fix.”
When does "Conan O'Brien Must Go" premiere?
The new series debuts all four episodes on Max April 18th.
