Eric Idle Is Going On Tour Hitting The West Coast This Fall

Comedy legend and Monty Python member Eric Idle is hitting the road this Fall with a brand-new tour titled Always Look on the Bright Side of Life Live!

The tour is aptly named, as Idle notably wrote the song of the same name for the Python film Life of Brian. The same song was also the centerpiece of the musical Monty Python’s Spamalot, which premiered on Broadway in 2005 to great acclaim. The musical returned to Broadway this past year, and will be going on tour next fall.

But first, Idle hits the road this fall with a brand-new tour that is different than what we saw him do as part of Sketchfest in January. The show will reportedly feature “never-before-seen sketches, original songs, jokes, the humorous wisdom that comes with being a living legend, and exactly one fart joke.”

Idle says of the tour, “Unfortunately, I can’t find the exit. My role in life seems to be cheering people up.”
