The late & great comedy legend Gilbert Gottfried put up an impressive over 50 year long career in stand-up comedy that included regular guest spots on revered late night shows like The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson & The David Letterman Show.
Though throughout his celebrated & historic career, he never put out a proper comedy album over the fear of not wanting to "use up his material" according to his widow Dara Gottfried. The only recorded material he ever released was his 2006 CD/DVD set of dirty jokes aptly titled Dirty Jokes.
But today, after previously hearing about Gottfried's first ever comedy album set to be released this fall, we can now confirm that his first ever stand-up album has a title & release date: Still Screaming comes out November 15th via the classic comedy label Clown Jewels (available for pre-order now).

The forthcoming album is "a curated compilation of some of Gilbert’s greatest bits and impressions, delivered as only he could." Still Screaming features material used as part of the 2017 documentary Gilbert & the director Neil Berkley worked with Dara to pick the comic's best material to feature on the album.
In addition to be released digitally, the album will also be released on a limited edition vinyl in a two LP gatefold: featuring rare photos of Gilbert with family and friends, a heartfelt and funny historical account of Gilbert from long-time friend Penn Jillette, and a vinyl side etched with Gilbert's own original artwork brought to life by Grammy-nominated art director & close friend of Gottfried Perry Shall.
Additionally, New York Comedy Fest will be hosting a one night only event honoring the comedy icon, Still Screaming: Celebrating The Career & Comedy of Gilbert Gottfried, taking place Wednesday, November 13th at The Venue at Hard Rock.
This one-of-a-kind event will feature never-before-seen outtakes from the award-winning documentary Gilbert, followed by an entertaining panel discussion with moderator Frank Santopadre, an audience Q&A, guests Dara Gottfried and filmmaker Neil Berkeley, and a star-studded lineup of colleagues, co-stars, and friends of the stand-up comedian including Dave Attell, Susie Essman, Judy Gold, Richard Kind, and more to be announced.
