Comedy legend & former Tonight Show host Jay Leno is a man of the people and wouldn't let a couple injuries stop him from performing his latest stand-up comedy gig on Monday night.
Before heading to his show in Beverly Hills on Monday at the Comedy for Koby event, Leno suffered a nasty fall near his hotel that gave him an eye patch, a black eye, a bandaged wrist & a swollen face according to TMZ.
Leno told the outlet he "was staying at a hotel on a hill and wanted to go to a restaurant at the bottom of the slope ... and instead of taking a winding path down, he tried to take a shortcut ... and it ended with him tumbling down the hill."
Jay Leno says the pain from his fall was "not that big a deal."
He detailed how he "hit [his] head on a rock, knocked [him] in the eye" before opening under the eye patch: "there you go."
And yet, that didn't stop him from performing over the weekend at the Yaamava' Casino in Southern California. It wasn't until after the show he went to the hospital in Los Angeles cause when addressing the pain, he said "it's not that big a deal."
This unfortunately marked the latest of many injuries the comic has gone through as of late. In the last few years he's suffered some burns from a car fire in his famous garage in 2023 & also broke some bones after a motorcycle crash in 2022.
