Comedian & podcaster Bert Kreischer is no stranger to making cameos in funny commercials. Earlier this year, he was recruited by the Dallas Cowboys alongside fellow comics Shane Gillis, Joe Rogan & Sam Morril to help announce the team's schedule release.
And today, the 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast co-host starred in a new tour announcement video for rock bands Papa Roach & Rise Against announcing their co-headlining tour. And in it, Kreischer revealed a big secret that fans may not have known of before...he's actually been in Papa Roach this whole time.
Watch Bert Kreischer team up with Papa Roach!
In the tour announcement parody video, Kreischer dropped the 'big news' that he'll be hitting the road with Papa Roach next year. While appropriately sitting in front of a tour bus, Kreischer jokingly had to correct the videographer when he was questioned if he had actually been in Papa Roach this whole time.
Kreischer then explains, "Haven't you ever heard of Papa Roach? This is our tour bus. This is technically my tour bus. But yeah...we're going on tour." He continues, "But I'm not playing in the band, I'm sharing lead vocal duties with Jacoby. It's me and him like a team, like Scotty Pippin and Michael Jordan." Kreischer then hilariously whales his way through a cover of the band's hit Last Resort and answers a Facetime from Jacoby planning out the next band practice where he asks Kreischer to pick up Chinese food & dry cleaning for the band.
What would've made this an even more fitting video would be Kreischer ripping his shirt off, but perhaps this will be the first of many collaborations between Bert & Papa Roach.
Ahead of the new parody, Kreischer hosted his 2 Bears 5K at Netflix Is A Joke Fest this year alongside podcast co-host & comedian Tom Segura. The two also appeared together at this year's Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix & this past summer, Kreischer taped his next special for Netflix.
Papa Roach & Rise Against's Rise of the Roach Tour will be hitting over 30 major cities across the U.S. across two legs, kicking off on March 20th at Toyota Center in Houston, TX, then making stops coast-to-coast in Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Saint Paul, MN; Mansfield, MA; Bridgeport, CT; Charlotte, NC and more before wrapping up in West Palm Beach, FL at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre on October 5th.
