Before Judd Apatow became the household name he is today directing producing some of the biggest comedy films of all time (The 40 Year Old Virgin, Step Brothers, & Bridesmaids to name a few), the comedian turned film-maker & comedy writer got his start learning from comics who lead the way before him.

Many of the famous names he credits now include Rip Torn, Norman Lear, Dick Van Dyke & Mel Brooks. This has all lead to his next Apatow Production premiering on Peacock next Friday, Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain. Starring the very hilarious & funny resident Saturday Night Live sketch group made up of John Higgins, Ben Marshall & Martin Herlihy.

Judd Apatow's deja-vu to his younger self while shooting "Foggy Mountain."

After shooting the new highly anticipated adventure-comedy, Apatow shared about how he got deja-vu from starting out in the comedy game when he was involved in equivalent circles comparable to PDD.

"I am no longer young. And we would be sitting in the woods having these conversations, and I would have flashbacks of having the same conversations with Adam Sandler and Tim (Herlihy) like 'Hm, I've had this boner conversation before. I've debated this joke before'" Apatow shared.

Apatow and his experience hanging out at Mel Brooks' house with Bill Hader.

In an effort to still "feel like the young guy," Apatow mentioned his recent hang he had with comedy legends Norman Lear, Dick Van Dyke & Mel Brooks (the latter whom hosted the hang with Bill Hader in attendance as well). "That's 300 years of comedy" he pointed out.

While Apatow & Hader were with Brooks at his house, the iconic comedian told them as they left "Come, come visit again. But not soon." Then added "Like four months. Wait four months."

Judd has been joining the Sandman on tour this past year opening as a stand-up act on the I Missed You Tour, fans can get tickets here. Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain premieres Friday, November 17th on Peacock.
