New York comedian Keith Robinson has landed a premiere date for his upcoming Netflix comedy special, Different Strokes, premiering with the streamer on June 11th.
Everything to know about Keith Robinson's special, "Different Strokes."
In Robinson's newest special, he gets real about his life post-two strokes and shares some funny stories from "trying to order Popeyes after his stroke to popping Viagra on a plane." Different Strokes was taped this past December at Sony Hall in New York and found the comic teaming up with Marcus Russell Price to direct, who previously directed Gavin Matts' latest special, progression. This marks Robinson's first special for Netflix since 2014's Back Of The Bus Funny presented by Kevin Hart.
Fellow comic & frequent collaborator, Amy Schumer, executive produced the new special alongside Robinson via her So Easy Productions banner. Other EPs are Daniel Powell & Alex Bach from Irony Point.
When Robinson first shared news about the special with Deadline, he said, “Coming up with the title Different Strokes was a ‘Stroke of Genius.’ Stupidity, mixed with Perseverance! I loved making this special and thanks to all who helped make this happen.”
Robinson was most recently seen on Kevin Hart's Mark Twain Prize Ceremony on Netflix as well as opening for Wanda Sykes during her stop at this year's Netflix Is A Joke Fest.
