Netflix Unveils New Stand-Up Series, 'Verified Stand-Up'

Netflix has announced its newest stand-up series, Verified Stand-Up, premiering on November 28th. The new series will see 10 of the best stand-up comedians in the game performing 10 sets over one night recorded at Webster Hall in New York City.

Who are all the comedians featured on the 'Verified Stand-Up' series on Netflix?

This all-star lineup of rising talent is an impressive group of comics who each bring their own unique flare to the stage. This first season of comedians includes Asif Ali, Dulcé Sloan, Nimesh Patel, Gianmarco Soresi, Isiah J. Kelly, Leslie Liao, Robby Hoffman, Rosebud Baker, Sabrina Wu, and Vanessa Gonzalez.

Asif Ali

Asif Ali can be seen on Disney+’s WandaVision and The Mandalorian, Apple TV+’s Shrinking, Fox’s New Girl and Olivia Wilde’s film Don’t Worry Darling, Ali has also been set to star in the comedy series Deli Boys coming to Hulu next year.

Dulce Sloan

Many know Dulce Sloan as one of the hilarious correspondents on The Daily Show. She has also has previously won NBC’s Stand Up Showcase, and has also been recognized as a Montreal Just For Laughs New Face, and as a Comedian to Watch on The Steve Harvey Show. She also currently voices a role on Fox animated series The Great North.

Gianmarco Soresi

New York-based comic, Gianmarco Soresi, was selected as a JFL New Face in 2022 and has performed stand-up on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, Don’t Tell, The Real Housewives of New York, and elsewhere. He’s also been seen acting in Billy Crystal’s Here Today, Netflix’s BondingHustlers, and The Last OG, while hosting the popular podcast The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi.

Isaiah J. Kelly

Comedian and actor, Isaiah J. Kelly, has been performing stand-up since the age of 10. The now 30-year-old Kelly is currently on the road with comedian Lavell Crawford.

Leslie Liao

Comedian Leslie Liao, was selected as one of 2023's New Faces of Comedy at JFL. She's been touring with some of the biggest names in comedy, including Fortune Feimster, and can often be seen in Los Angeles gracing the stages of The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory, and Flappers, among other venues.

Nimesh Patel

Nimesh Patel is a comedian and Emmy-nominated writer, whose work can be seen on Academy Awards, SNL, A Little Late with Lilly Singh and The White House Correspondents Dinner, and as a producer for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. Patel’s most recent self-produced special Lucky Lefty, about his experience having testicular cancer “for three business days,” is his third in the past two years, on the heels of Thank You China and Jokes to Get You Through Quarantine.

Robby Hoffman

Comedian & writer, Robby Hoffman, was named one of Comedy Central’s UP NEXT comedians & has been featured on Conan O’Brien’s Comics to Watch list. Hoffman’s first hour special, I’m Nervous, is available on CraveTV. Her writing credits include The Chris Gethard Show (TruTV), Workin’ Moms (Netflix), and Baroness Von Sketch Show (IFC). In 2019, Hoffman won a Daytime Emmy Award for her writing work on Odd Squad (PBS). She is currently developing projects with Showtime, Warner Bros TV and A24.

Rosebud Baker

Rosebud Baker is a comedian, actor and Emmy-winning writer, currently on staff at SNL, who wrote and performed on two WGA Award-nominated sketch series: That Damn Michael Che and Inside Amy Schumer. She’s performed stand-up on That’s My Time with David Letterman on Netflix, as well as Bill Burr’s The Ringers on Comedy Central, and saw her debut stand-up special, Whiskey Fists, premiere on Comedy Central’s YouTube channel in 2021. Her acting work can be seen in Life & Beth on Hulu and the upcoming horror comedy feature film Hell of a Summer, directed by Finn Wolfhard & Billy Bryk.

Sabrina Wu

Comdian & actor, Sabrina Wu, recently made their feature film debut in the Lionsgate comedy Joy Ride, from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and director Adele Lim. Regularly performing at venues like Union Hall and the Bell House in New York City, where they’ve been featured as part of the New York Comedy Festival, they were selected as one of JFL’s New Faces of Comedy in 2022, also last year making their late-night stand-up debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
