Comedian, actor & The Daily Show correspondent Ronny Chieng has been taking the world by storm on his "Love To Hate It" stand-up tour. And now, Chieng has announced that his newest show of the same name, Love To Hate It, will premiere as a comedy special on Netflix December 17th.
In this extremely personal special (per the logline), Chieng hilariously unpacks the indignities of the IVF process, the pitfalls of being a man on the internet, American politics and the place of the older generation in today’s world.
The new special was filmed this past summer over a five night sold-out run in Honolulu at the historic Hawai'i Theatre, where shortly after taping Love It Hate It he was awarded his own holiday in the state of Hawaii (Ronny Chieng Day falls on July 27th for those asking). Love To Hate It follows Chieng's previous comedy specials on Netflix: Speakeasy in 2022 & Asian Comedian Destroys America! in 2019.
The new hour is directed by Cameron Barnett with All Things Comedy producing. Executive producers including Chieng are Hannah Pham, Mike Bertolina, Jordan Ellner, Bill Burr, Al Madrigal, & Joel Zadak.
Ahead of the new special, Chieng will be seen starring opposite Jimmy O. Yang in the upcoming Hulu limited series Interior Chinatown premiering November 19th.
