Well, it’s that time again: Elections. For the last 50 years, Saturday Night Live has always been at the forefront of political satire, especially in the months leading up to the Presidential elections.
In all of the previous years, there’s traditionally been an SNL political special released right around the same time. And with the election less than two weeks away, it’d make sense that they’d have something special in the works.
What to know about SNL's 2024 Election Special.
Today, NBC announced The 2024 SNL Election Special will be set to air the evening before the big day, on November 4th at 10 PM EST. In the special, we can expect to see a tribute to all of their political parodies over the years, just as they’ve done in years past.
Fans can certainly expect to see a number of sketches from the current cycle, including James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump, Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris, Bowen Yang as JD Vance, Jim Gaffigan as Tim Walz, Andy Samberg as Doug Emhoff, and Dana Carvey as Joe Biden. The latter may be getting extra screen time, as he’s previously played former President George Bush, Sr. and 1992 Presidential contender Ross Perot.
What else might you see? You’ll just have to tune in on the 4th to find out!
