Netflix has announced its latest stand-up comedy special with Steve Treviño's newest hour-long special, A Simple Man, premiering on March 12th.
What to know about Steve Treviño's "A Simple Man."
The new hour marks his sixth special and was taped this past Fall at the Tobin Center in San Antonio, TX, the comedian's home state. And in his latest offering, the Texas-based comic riffs on family life & lets fans in on his secrets to his successful marriage, to his dad's spaghetti sandwiches and more.
A Simple Man is truly a family affair: his wife, Renae Treviño, directed the special. Rick Cikowski produced it alongside executive producers Steve Treviño, Joe Meloche, Rick Cikowski, and David Karabinas.
This upcoming special brings Treviño back to Netflix for his first special with the streamer in a decade following 2014's Relatable. In 2022, he released his fifth special, I Speak Wife (2022), on YouTube which has amassed over 4 million views.
Treviño & his wife, Renae (aka Captain Evil), also co-host the popular comedy podcast, Steve & Captain Evil: the show where the two use the show as a means to examine the treacherous topics of relationships, family & stand-up comedy.
