Hannah Gadsby To Host Lineup Of Genderqueer Comics In "Gender Agenda" Netflix Special

Award winning British comic & stand-up comedian, Hannah Gadsby, has unveiled their brand new showcase styled stand-up special, Gender Agenda, coming to Netflix next month.

What to know about "Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda."

This latest offering from Netflix takes the similar vein of Pete Davidson's The Best Friends (2022) & Amy Schumer's Parental Advisory (2022), where the hosting & curating comedian hand picks up and coming comics to showcase in short sets as well as incorporating their own bit of stand-up.

This latest offering continues Gadsby's long partnership with the streamer following their previous specials Something Special (2023), Douglas (2020) & Nanette (2018).

In this global comedy special event, curated by Gadsby, the show brings together a line-up of the world’s absolute funniest genderqueer comedians. Recorded at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace Theatre, the special features ALOK, Chloe Petts, DeAnne Smith, Asha Ward, Jes Tom, Mx. Dahlia Belle, and Krishna Istha.

In a statement with Variety , Gadsby shared: “There is such a wealth of brilliant genderqueer comics out there, but such a dearth of representation on the major streaming services. Meanwhile jokes about trans people are becoming more and more lucrative, so it seems only right that at least some of those jokes be told by actual trans people themselves,.”

They continue, "So, I am beyond thrilled to bring this lineup together, showcasing seven extraordinarily talented comics and to use my platform (and Netflix’s…) to hopefully help catapult them into the spotlight that they deserve. They (and I mean ‘they’ in every sense of the word) are some of the funniest, smartest genderqueer comedians from around the globe, and it was an utter delight and true honor to share the stage with them.”
