This Week In Comedy: it's a unique week for comedy documentaries of all kinds. Steve Martin, one of the most beloved and enigmatic figures in entertainment & comedy, is the star of the new two-part documentary, STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces, premiering on Apple TV+. The new documentary tells his extraordinary story from two distinct points of view, with companion documentaries that feature never-before-seen archival footage and raw insights into Steve’s personal and professional trials and triumphs. Martin Short, Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, Selena Gomez, Eric Idle and more are set to appear.
Mike Birbiglia stars in a unique docu-special inspired by the popular Vulture podcast Good One: A Show About Jokes premiering on Peacock. In this unique presentation, Birbiglia begins an unpredictable journey developing new material from personal truths. The result is an immersive look at the craft of comedy from the ground up and a unique snapshot of the intersection between process and personal.
