Today, a new trailer for the new doc has arrived ahead of its premiere with the streaming service later this month.

What to expect in Steve Martin's new documentary 'STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces.'

The new doc, STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces, is split into two parts diving into his extraordinary story from two distinct points of view, with companion documentaries that feature never-before-seen archival footage and raw insights into Steve’s personal and professional trials and triumphs.

“Then” (part 1) chronicles Steve Martin’s early struggles and meteoric rise to revolutionize standup before walking away at 35. “Now” (part 2) focuses on the present day, with Steve Martin in the golden years of his career, retracing the transformation that led to happiness in his art and personal life.

Hailing from A24 and Tremolo Productions, the two-part documentary is directed and produced by Morgan Neville, who also directed 20 Feet from Stardom & Won’t You Be My Neighbor?.

The first trailer gives a glimpse into the legendary comic's storied career, where he's featured along with "other famous people" he's close to (the trailer jokes) including his Only Murders In The Building co-stars Martin Short & Selena Gomez as well as Finn Wittrock, Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, Eric Idle, and Diane Keaton.

Jerry Seinfeld puts it best in the trailer when he describes the icon as "the most idolized comedian ever," something we're excited to see fully unveil when this documentary comes out.
