Crowd work has taken on a whole new life in the stand-up comedy world over the past couple of years from causing so many viral & cancellable moments to even comedians releasing full-length crowd work specials.

To address this higher matter, comedian, actor & podcaster Andrew Santino shared a special & hysterical message about crowd work at comedy shows today ahead of his upcoming headlining tour this Fall. In the new sketch turned promo, Santino pokes fun at crowd work & gives an important reason why you shouldn't be worried about attending one of his shows this Fall.

Watch Andrew Santino's funny new crowd work sketch!

In the funny new promo, Santino poses as an alter-ego version of a stand-up doing crowd work in today's comedy scene. Before fumbling with his own jokes that he intended to appear cheap, he starts doing crowdwork by poking at one guy with a bandana. But then, he mostly pokes jokes at "himself" when he says to the normal looking Santino, "what's up with this ginger ass bitch, nice hair...bitch." He continues, "hey I bet you this red headed guy puts on sunscreen at night" and then calls him "an orange sickle."

Then after leaving the Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, the normal looking Santino quickly sees himself getting crowd-worked on TikTok almost instantaneously after leaving the show. Then quickly, we see this guy's life starts to fall apart as his girlfriend leaves him saying that viral clip was "embarrassing" for her, he gets let go from his job, his parents won't let him stay with them after getting kicked out of his girlfriend's apartment, and at the end we see him considering to jump.

And finally, the real Andrew Santino appears and says at the end, "Come see me on tour, I promise I won't do any crowd work." So no need to fear getting canceled or going viral at an Andrew Santino, the famous ginger comedian definitely assured in this promo, and even his most recent Netflix special Cheeseburger, that you'll be getting a full on stand-up comedy show.

The sketch was directed by McKone Corkery also features Julia Newman, Lungo Shaggs, Tristan Thompson, Erica Washington, Carlos Herrera, & Gareth West.

Before hitting the road, Santino recently announced that him & Bobby Lee's hit podcast Bad Friends will be getting an animated series at Hulu. When not on stage, he can also be seen on the FX series DAVE and most recently co-starred in the new R-rated comedy Ricky Stanicky on Prime Video with Zac Efron, John Cena & Jermaine Fowler. His latest Netflix special, Cheeseburger, is available to download on 800 Pound Gorilla & stream everywhere you listen to comedy.
