Stand-up comedians, podcasters & partners Chad Daniels & Kelsey Cook have teamed up with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to show off their hilarious sketch chops for a funny message & PSA about the importance of always keeping your cats indoors.
Watch Chad Daniels & Kelsey Cook In The PETA Sketch
In the new sketch titled 'Oh, What the F---!,' Daniels takes on the role of an outdoor cat that's eating his food outside from Cook's bowl. Then subsequently, he (the cat) gets locked outside reacting, "oh, what the f---!" Then we see the screen, "If humans were treated like 'outdoor cats."
Cook takes on the role as the oblivious owner while Daniels as the cat outside asks himself anxious questions about his harness, leash saying, "this is not safe right now." He continues, “Do you have any idea how many diseases I can get out here? Hookworms, ringworm, rabies, ticks, toxoplasmosis, pasteurellosis, Campylalalal … I’m gonna catch something I can’t even pronounce!” Daniels says. “Ear mites, Giardia, feline herpesvirus—if I get herpes because of you, I’m gonna be so friggin’ pissed.”
The short but jam packed two minute bit not only gives a powerful message for all cat owners, but also brought plenty of laughs. Further showing how great of a comedy duo the two Minnesota based comics make together.
Ahead of this sketch, Daniels released his tenth comedy special & first for Netflix, Empty Nester, earlier this month. Cook released her debut special, The Hustler, this past year with 800 Pound Gorilla and just taped her next one earlier this Spring. The two comics and currently be seen on the road & co-hosting their Pretend Problems Podcast.
