Everybody is all in on Simon Rich's newest broadway production All In: Comedy About Love!
The comedian & former SNL writer's upcoming broadway production has announced the expansion of the show's already star-studded & stacked rotating cast. Joining is Tony-Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will be taking over for John Mulaney as lead for the second run of All In's rotating cast this January. Also joining for the show's second half of its ten week production is The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon & SNL alums Aidy Bryant, Tim Meadows with fellow comics & actors David Cross, Sam Richardson, Andrew Rannells, & Hank Azaria rounding out the show's cast.
Previously announced cast members include Fred Armisen, Richard Kind, Renee Elise Goldsberry & Chloe Fineman.
All In: Comedy About Love is based on Rich's collection of short stories about marriage, romance, heartbreak, and everything in between that comes with love. This rotating cast, with four members performing at each show, will sometimes " play pirates, sometimes they will play dogs, and there’s one where we make them talk in British accents. But even though the show’s kind of all over the place, it’s meant to tell one simple story: that the most important part of life is who we share it with. We hope everybody will relate to it, even if it was their date’s idea to come and they are starting out from a place of quiet resentment."
Alex Timbers directs, who previously directed John Mulaney's specials Baby J, Kid Gorgeous, Mulaney's previous broadway play Oh, Hello & Alex Edelman's Emmy-award winning HBO special Just For Us. The show is produced by Seaview and Lorne Michaels with New Yorker Studios.
