Ahead of her new Mean Girls iteration based on the broadway musical hitting theaters this week, comedy powerhouse Tina Fey has announced her return to leading a new television series, The Four Seasons, based on the 1981 feature film.
What we know so far about Tina Fey's "The Four Seasons."
The new show reunites Fey with her previous 30 Rock co-writers Lang Fisher & Tracey Wigfield, who all will serve as executive producers on the new show. It ultimately landed at Netflix with an eight-episode series order.
Based on the 1981 film starring Alan Alda & Carol Burnett, the new show follows "three couples who vacation together every season."
This marks Fey's latest series with Netflix following the smash Emmy-nominated series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which she co-created & executive produced. The show ran for four seasons and even spawned an interactive movie closing out the show.
She's also behind the comedy series, Girls5Eva, as an executive producer with its third season premiering on the streamer later this Spring after its first two seasons helmed at Peacock.
When will Tina Fey's "The Four Seasons" series come out?
Production on the new Tina Fey Netflix series is slated to begin later this year.
