After releasing two films nearly a decade ago with the titular stuffed rude-dude animal, Seth MacFarlane’s Ted is getting a seven-episode prequel series in January.
What's the new "Ted" prequel series about?
Seth MacFarlane is back as the bear’s voice, and the first episode (described as “supersized” compared to the 30-minute runtime of the rest), sees Ted living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1993 after becoming a has-been.
His best friend is 16-year old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), and John’s parents are portrayed by Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach. Cousin Blaire is portrayed by Giorgia Whigham.
To ensure that old Ted charm is present, MacFarlane is executive producing, co-showrunning, directing, and writing on the prequel series, which, again, will debut on January 11th on Peacock.
