Around this time of year, we find out the next host of the upcoming Oscars ceremony. For next year, the Academy is returning to an old favorite: Jimmy Kimmel.

Jimmy Kimmel returns to the Oscars stage for the fourth time.

Kimmel has been tapped for his fourth time hosting the award show. This choice makes sense, as Kimmel is fresh off hosting this year’s awards. Also, the Oscars are always on ABC, which is home to Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Usually, the show ends with Kimmel’s annual post-Oscars show across the street from the Dolby theater. Joining Kimmel is executive producer Molly McNeary

“I always dreamed of hosting the Oscars exactly four times,” Kimmel joked in a statement.

“After his triumphant return to the Oscars stage last year, we are honored to have Jimmy back to guide us through one of the most beloved celebrations in entertainment,” said Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals. “He is such a valuable member of our Disney family, and we could not be more appreciative of him and his entire team.”

“We are thrilled about Jimmy returning to host and Molly returning as executive producer for the Oscars,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang said. “They share our love of movies and our commitment to producing a dynamic and entertaining show for our global audience. We are deeply grateful to Jimmy, Molly and their teams for their incredible creativity and partnership and for going on this ride with us again.”

When do the Oscars air this year?

This next Oscars will take place on March 10th, 2024 on ABC.
