In honor of Pride month, Netflix is unveiling a brand-new documentary that takes a closer look at the history of the LGBTQ+ community in stand-up comedy. And now we’ve got a look at the new trailer.
The new documentary, Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution, examines the importance of queer comedy, and the obstacles that were faced throughout the last 50 years. The documentary features an array of interviews and performances from names like Lily Tomlin, Billy Eichner, Joel Kim Booster, Sandra Bernhard, Wanda Sykes, Eddie Izzard, Hannah Gadsby, Tig Notaro, Rosie O’Donnell, Margaret Cho, Bob The Drag Queen, and Trixie Mattel. It also features footage from the 2022 Netflix is a Joke Festival at the Greek Theater.
When does "Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution" premiere on Netflix?
The documentary debuts on June 18th.
