If you love those cosmic series, chances are you'll dig this new series from the creative & brilliant minds of Natasha Lyonne & Maya Rudolph (who both star & executive produce under their Animal Pictures banner). The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy follows "Dr. Sleech (Stephanie Hsu) and Dr. Klak (Keke Palmer)—aliens, best friends, and intergalactically renowned surgeons—as they tackle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs. In Season One, doctors Sleech and Klak take on a highly dangerous and potentially groundbreaking case and, in doing so, put existence itself in jeopardy. Although considering their dismal personal lives, oblivion might be an improvement."

Kieran Culkin & Sam Smith round out the rest of the show's series regulars alongside Stephanie Hsu, Keke Palmer, Maya Rudolph & Natasha Lyonne.

The show's first season has quite a sizable & stacked cast of comedians supporting in guest roles in the first season including Tracee Ellis Ross, Abbi JacobsonLennon Parham, Gary Anthony Williams & Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang & Andrew Dismukes.

Cirocco Dunlap serves as creator, showrunner, writer & executive producer of the new series. Her previous credits include producing & writing on tv shows Big Mouth & Miracle Workers respectively.

The Second Best Hospital in The Galaxy will premiere all eight episodes on February 23, 2024 on Prime Video.
