This Week In Comedy: Schitt's Creek stars & father-son duo Eugene Levy & Dan Levy are hitting the primetime stage to host the 76th Annual Emmy Awards this Sunday night at 7 PM CT on ABC. The last time this comedic duo appeared together at ceremony was in 2020 when their hit comedy series took home the most wins in a single year & it set a comedy series record with nine total wins during the pandemic-impacted ceremony.
Over 99 Emmys have already been awarded ahead of the primetime ceremony over the weekend & so far, The Bear & Saturday Night Live are leading the pack for comedy winners (check out the full list of comedic Creative Arts Emmys Winners here).
Also happening this week: Weekend Update hosts & beloved SNL cast members Colin Jost & Michael Che are hosting a live comedy event on Peacock celebrating the New York comedy scene & bringing together some of their favorite comics in a program called New York After Dark. Roy Wood Jr., Amber Ruffin & Michael Ian Black are teaming up for a new comedy comedy show based on the hit BBC series, Have I Got News For You, on CNN.
