Last night, the long delayed Emmy Awards finally got the ceremony it deserved after getting a four month plus long delay due to this past year’s dual writer’s & actor’s strikes. This show and its talented host, Anthony Anderson, pulled out all the stops from all the cool cast reunions to the recreated set designs on the Emmys stage to make this year’s ceremony fun & nostalgic.
Some of the big winners from the night were The Bear with four actor & series wins, Beef with two actors & series win, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver & The Daily Show With Trevor Noah each winning Outstanding Scripted Variety Series & Outstanding Talk Series respectively.
Before tonight’s ceremony, John Mulaney & Tim Robinson each took home some comedy gold from the Creative Arts Emmys presented before tonight’s primetime ceremony on January 6th & 7th. Robinson took home the award for Outstanding Actor In A Short Form Comedy or Drama for his hit Netflix series, I Think You Should Leave. Mulaney then took home the award for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special for his latest Netflix comedy special, Baby J.
Here are all the comedy category winners from the 75th Annual Emmy Awards!
"The Bear" Wins Outstanding Comedy Series
Natasha Lyonne & Tracee Ellis Ross presented the coveted comedy series award while paying tribute to the iconic Lucille Ball recreating the famous chocolate factory scene.
The cast & crew of the hit FX comedy series, The Bear, accepted one of the two big awards of the night for Outstanding Comedy Series. If you watch, Matty Matheson & Ebon Moss-Bachrach did more than just accept this prestigious honor!

Quinta Brunson Wins Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series
The legendary Carol Burnett presented Quinta Brunson with the award for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for her work on Abbott Elementary.
There were two standout moments to note from this segment. First: Burnett, who was a trailblazer in variety television & broke ground for many incredible television sketches, took a moment to reflect and jokingly appreciated after how much progress has been made, "how well men are doing in comedy now." Second: after tenderly accepting her award, Brunson really showed how much appreciation and admiration she has for the comedy genre. She shares emotionally, “I am so happy to be able to live my dream and act out comedy. I say it every time, but I just love comedy so much.”
Ebon Moss-Bachrach Wins Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series
Two And Half Men fans would be delighted to see Alan & Evelyn (Jon Cryer & Holland Taylor) reunite to present Ebon Moss-Bachrach with the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series for his work on The Bear.

Christina Applegate kicked off the night by presenting the first award to a roaring standing ovation following her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021 and keeping a relatively low profile. While accepting her award for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Lead Comedy Series for her work on The Bear, Ayo Edebiri made sure to shout out her parents for signing her up for improv classes despite it "not being their dream" after immigrating to the States.
"Last Week Tonight With John Oliver" Wins Outstanding Scripted Variety Series
Ahead of the new late night series After Midnight With Taylor Tomlinson premiering on CBS this week, Tomlinson & her show’s executive producer Stephen Colbert attended the ceremony to present this year’s Outstanding Scripted Variety Series to HBO’s Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.
"The Daily Show With Trevor Noah" Wins Outstanding Talk Series
It may have never been acknowledged on this high of a scale before last night’s ceremony, but the cast of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (who presented the Outstanding Talk Series honor) made it known after being on the air for nearly 20 years with 16 seasons under its belt, the show has somehow still not managed to land an Emmy nomination.
The Daily Show fans were thrilled needless to say to see Trevor Noah & team land the coveted talk show award last night. If you pay close attention to Roy Wood Jr. in the video above who joined Noah for his acceptance speech, you can see him comically mouthing the words “Please. Hire. A. Host.”
We’re anticipating the day Comedy Central lands on the show's permanent host!
Steven Yeun Wins Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Series
Steve Yeun accepted his award for his performance on the hit limited Netflix dramedy series, Beef. This follows his most recent win for the same category from this year’s Golden Globes.
