Stand-up comedian & podcaster Chad Daniels is headed to Netflix with his newest stand-up special & first for the streaming service, Empty Nester, premiering July 16th.
In the new special, Daniels "sounds off on dad-shaming, dating someone with allergies and the upside of an empty nest." The Minnesota-based comic elaborates on the upsides of the empty nester life in the special's trailer, where he jokes "I had the thought, I am going to hate being an empty nester, and then a week later, I get a blowjob in my own house."
Empty Nester was taped earlier this year at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN, where Daniels teamed with director Eric Abrams, who's directed previous 800 Pound Gorilla comedy specials including Sal Vulcano: Terrified, Ben Roy: Hyena & Big Jay Oakerson: Dog Belly to name a few. Matt Schuler and Jesse Chieffo serve as producers with Daniels and Alex Goodman serving as executive producers.
The new hour follows his 2023 hour, Mixed Reviews, released on YouTube this past November. Outside of stand-up in the podcasting space, Daniels co-hosts Middle of Somewhere with friend Cy Amundson and Pretend Problems alongside his girlfriend & comedian Kelsey Cook.
