Chloe Fineman To Star In New Teen Comedy, "Summer Of 69," At Hulu

Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman is set to lead a highly lauded & comedian heavy cast in the new teen comedy Summer of 69 coming to Hulu, which will mark the directorial debut from comedian & Brittany Runs A Marathon star Jillian Bell.


Among the stacked cast & comedy caliber involved include Sam Morelos (That ’90s Show), Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Natalie Morales (Self Reliance), Alex Moffat (Saturday Night Live), Paula Pell (Girls5eva), Liza Koshy (A Family Affair), Nicole Byer (Nailed It!), Matt Cornett (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Fernando Carsa (Acapulco) and Amalia Yoo (Grand Army).

In the new film, per the log line, "an awkward high school senior hires an exotic dancer to help seduce her longtime crush before graduation, leading to unexpected friendship and lessons in self-confidence, acceptance, and adulthood."


Summer of 69 is written by Bell, Liz Nico, & Jules Byrne and comes from American High, the same production company that brought similar young adult movies & Hulu originals Big Time Adolescence & The Binge.


When first sharing the news with Deadline about making her directorial debut for the new film, Bell said, “It’s always been my dream to direct and I am thrilled to be telling a story about female friendship with a cast of the most talented and funny humans.”


The new film is set to begin production later this month in Syracuse this month. With this great caliber of comedians & talent involved, we're excited to hear more from this movie when it hits Hulu likely sometime next year!
