Some shocking & sad news to report today in the comedy community. Stand-up comedian & podcaster Christina P (also known as Christina Pazsitzky) revealed on the latest episode of Your Mom's House podcast opposite fellow comic, podcast co-host & husband Tom Segura that she's been diagnosed with "very early stage" breast cancer.

The news came as the comedy power couple had to cut their summer trip to Italy short following a mammogram exam. Christina detailed on the podcast explaining that her cancer diagnosis is "totally treatable, the prognosis is very good, I will not die, this is not my last summer on Earth (I’ve already asked everybody).” The treatment she's going through is gonna be "very aggressive" as she details "the thing that's gonna suck" about this diagnosis.
There hasn't been an official statement yet from her, Tom or YMH Studios on the status of Your Mom's House podcast & new episodes coming up. She did explain, “This is still a big part of my life, this podcast brings me so much joy and I’m going to continue to do it when I’m kind of up and running I guess, I don’t know, we'll see how I feel.”
The comic also shared an update in a follow-up post since recording the episode with where she's currently at on her breast cancer journey following her surgery (or as she likes to call from her latest podcast episode, "tit cancer"). She shared in a message on Instagram, "At the moment, I am recovering well from surgery and watching Beverly Hills 90210 in its entirety (R.I.P. Shannen). Breast cancer is a bummer, and unfortunately, so many women deal with it. I’m very lucky this was found early and am receiving the best treatment possible."
She continues, "Obviously, this is an emotional rollercoaster, but overall I’ve been okay. My surgeon even let me choose a song to go under anesthesia to, and of course, I chose Bauhaus’s “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.” I’m sure the surgical team was stoked about that. Love and hugs. I’ll check in soon."
There doesn't appear to be any fundraising efforts surrounding Christina's recovery & diagnosis. For fans that would like to support her during this difficult time, she expressed on the podcast her interest in receiving positive messages wanting them to be "creative" and how she "wants to laugh" from seeing fan supported messages.
