Over the weekend, stand-up comedian Jo Koy set a new record after his two shows at the fabulous LA Forum that someone else has to now break in stand-up comedy.
Koy is now the only comedian to hold the title for "most headlining shows by a comedian" with six shows at the Kia Forum (which were completely sold out). Shortly after earning this title, he took to Instagram to share the massive accomplishment with his newly awarded plaque gifted by the iconic venue. In the tender post, he shared he's the "first comedian to sell out the forum 6 times. I'm living the dream. I love you L.A!"
What this new milestone means for Jo Koy.
This milestone marks a significant record for the comedian for many reasons. One being that this achievement includes the shows he taped for his most recent Netflix special, Live From The LA Forum. Another reason is that this headlining run of shows confirms how massive of a touring act he is following his spot on the coveted top 10 list of highest grossing comics on tour in 2023.
Koy just taped his newest special in Brooklyn this past November as part of his current Jo Koy World Tour, which is set to premiere on Netflix. We're excited to see this new special & everything else the stand up comic has in store for 2024!
