Jonny Loquasto is a physical therapist by day and a stand-up comedian by night. His comedy career skyrocketed as soon as he released his debut album, Jonny Loquasto Presents... Jonny Loquasto's Jonny Loquasto, which climbed to the Top 10 on the Billboard Comedy Charts following its explosive 2017 release.
Loquasto’s background in sports medicine seems to have seeped into his comedy. Most explicitly, his second career is the topic of his 2021 special, Jonny Loquasto: Physical. Therapy. Loquasto has also been bringing his hilarious commentary to the sports world for years now. Most recently via Instagram reels, posing as anyone from an underachieving quarterback announcing his retirement to an NFL general manager after his draft fail. Beyond his social media presence, Loquasto even fulfilled his dream of broadcasting for the WWE. Even fellow comedian and friend Rachel Feinstein commented how excited she was for him to fulfill a dream he had voiced to her years ago, officially adding sports commentator to his job title (in fact it's the first title listed in his IMDB bio).
Aside from his passion for sports, Loquasto is also a proud stepdad. In his 2023 special, Jonny Loquasto: Saudi Stepdad, Loquasto digs deep into the drastic shift in his life over the past 4 years. The stand-up comedian went from manchild fulfilling his childhood dreams which only got stripped away by the pandemic to finding the woman of his dreams and becoming a stepdad. Jonny Loquasto: Saudi Stepdad excavates what it means to create a multicultural home, be a good husband, and adopt the role of a father as his stepkids and wife are from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In joining a new family and adopting a new culture, Loquasto was greeted with odd questions from his friends and a new nickname from his wife. Loquasto reflects on being asked, “What’s it like having a family from Saudi Arabia?” to which he never has a good response to. “As if I’m gonna say, ‘Well, you know, there’s always shows flying everywhere, but the oil money is good!” While external sources may make odd comments, Loquasto loves what has come from marrying a woman from the Arabian Peninsula. He is proud to be bestowed the nickname “habibi” by his wife, however, he jokes, when she gets mad, the nickname becomes, “white person!”
