Melbourne, Montreal and now the masses can experience the memorable Melanie Bracewell and her freakishly funny special, Forget Me Not. Bracewell’s brilliance shines under the stand-up spotlight, particularly at prestigious festivals. Her wit and quick humor won her the Billy T Award and Best Newcomer Award in the New Zealand Comedy Festival. She made her way over to Australia, taking the continent in full throttle, winning Directors Choice in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Just For Laughs Montreal hand picked Bracewell to perform in 2023.

If anything, Bracewell is a pro and the Gotham Comedy Club in New York would agree, setting Bracewell next to some heavy hitters in their pro showcase. Bracewell has also opened for one of the biggest comics on the scene, Jim Gaffigan, and, surprisingly enough, for the 14 time Grammy winner Norah Jones.

As an award winning writer, Bracewell's writing credits include 7 Days, Have You Been Paying Attention, and Mean Mums. One of her episodes from her work on all four seasons of Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s break-out comedy series Wellington Paranormal earned “Best Comedy Script” at the New Zealand Television Awards. Bracewell has also built an impressive social media presence on TikTok with her impersonations of Jacinda Ardern which went global, appearing on the BBC and in The Guardian. Her Tweets have even made their way onto Buzzfeed and even The New York Times.

Bracewell is also skilled on the microphone. She has worked on the popular radio station Radio Hauraki for 6 years, both as a producer and an announcer with her own weekend show. In 2021, Bracewell became the host of the Network 10 series, The Cheap Seats which, in 2023, won the Logie for Most Outstanding Entertainment show.

Forget Me Not bookmarks Bracewell’s sold-out New Zealand tour. On stage, Bracewell grapples with having a boyfriend who has the memory of a goldfish by writing a stand-up special about it which she performs night after night. Her desperation to be remembered has resulted in a special that expertly weaves strands of relatable humor throughout an unbelievable story.
