Comedians Mike Finoia & Charles McBee have teamed up for a new comedy podcast to get nostalgic & answer a burning question with their new show Are We Old?.
The new show follows our reflective & comic hosts as they "look back on childhood memories, reminisce about growing up in the 80's, 90's. & 00's, and try to help each other come to terms with the fact that they're not kids anymore."
Are We Old marks Finoia's latest & third podcast hosting gig in addition to his current shows Comes a Time (co-hosted with Dead & Company and Allman Brothers alum Oteil Burbridge) & Dented Cans (the show where Mike catches up with comics about their "dents"). Ahead of this new podcast, Finoia's been spending his time writing for & performing with Impractical Jokers & released his newest comedy special Don't Let Me Down via 800 Pound Gorilla.
McBee is a New York comic who's performed on Gotham Comedy Live & previously wrote on Uncommon Sense with Chalamagne tha God as well as the 2020 VMA's & the 2021 Golden Globes. Earlier this year, he debuted a brand new stand-up set with Don't Tell Comedy available now on YouTube.
Finoia shares in a statement about the new show: “Charles and I started having these conversations at the clubs in between sets about real life experiences that made us question our youth, and they all ended with the same question: Are We Old?? We Can’t be the Only Ones! Everyone is aging, it’s one of the things that everyone has in common, so we’re excited to bring some levity and nostalgia to that realization, while laughing at the fact that we’re not as young as we used to be.”
McBee adds, “Mike and I are beyond excited to kick off the “Are We Old Podcast” because, let’s face it, we’re all on this wild ride of life where things seem to be speeding up while we’re just trying to remember where we left our keys. Whether it’s figuring out the latest tech or reminiscing about a time when our knees didn’t creak, one thing’s for sure—we’re all in this getting older thing together, and we might as well have a laugh about it!”
