Samantha Bee, the comedian known for her Emmy-award winning late night series Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on TBS, which ran for seven seasons, is back with a new hosting gig & teaming up with The Daily Beast in the form of a new podcast aptly titled The Daily Beast Podcast.
Co-hosted with the newly named Chief Content Officer (CCO) of the publication Joanna Coles, the new weekly series “will navigate the latest in politics, pop culture, and everything in between. It will be like the best dinner party you’ve ever been to, just without any food” reads the show's description.
Bee is no stranger to the world of podcasting or The Daily Beast. The former late night host & The Daily Show correspondent has been hosting her own podcast Choice Words, where she sits with guests including comics Judd Apatow, Rob Delaney, Ellie Kemper, Nick Offerman & Roy Wood Jr. to name a few, to examine the biggest choices they've made in their lives & the ripple effect those decisions have had. With The Daily Beast, she's been serving as a guest columnist since last December and will find herself likely contributing more with this new show.
Bee added with the announcement of The Daily Beast Podcast in a social post, "I’m teaming up with my BBF (Best British Friend) @joannacoles for the new The Daily Beast Podcast, brought to you by @five9_inc!!! Our first episode drops THIS Thursday and I hope you’ll add it to your podcast listening list."
Later this Fall, Bee will debut her newest solo show, How to Survive Menopause, Off-Broadway to the Minetta Lane Theater for a three-performance run October 17th-19th in New York (more info on tickets can be found here).
