In his fifth stand-up special Cut/Up, Ted Alexandro covers everything from marriage to politics to the lyrics of La Bamba. Unlike most comedy specials that are shot at one singular location, Cut/Up was shot at three iconic comedy clubs: The Comedy Cellar, The Village Underground and Helium in Portland, OR.

As a New York native, Alexandro did not have to travel far when he realized his dreams of appearing on David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, Dr.Katz, & Comedy Central. In addition to his appearance on the aforementioned channel, Alexandro has two half-hour specials on Comedy Central. The New York Times lauded him as, “a loose-limbed, adventurous performer with an urgent brand of observational humor,” referencing Alexandro’s boisterous style and tendency to use his hands. Time Out NY called him, “one of the funniest comedians working today.”

Alexandro finds kids to be some of the most hilarious beings on the planet. Having spent his early career as an NYC elementary school music teacher, the seasoned comedian had plenty of content to fill his hour with. Three decades into his comedy career, Alexandro found himself running out of his old stories about his youngsters so he got married and had two children of his own. Now, be prepared for two more decades of feeding off the comedic fodder kids naturally produce.
