Growing up Venezuelan-American, Francisco Ramos had to learn the lingo and how to do an American accent. This led to the creation of the short videos he posts on the internet of him doing every kind of Duolingo from Argentinian Duolingo to Southern Duolingo. The stand-up comedian has a storied history of success and acclaim, all leading up to the release of his newest special, Venezuela'Merican.
Ramos was a part of the first ever Netflix Is A Joke Festival and is currently on the streaming platform’s hit show, Gentefied. The top 10 finalist of Last Comic Standing found success with his debut comedy short, Zoo Animals, which he directed, co-wrote, and starred in. The short was accepted into over a dozen other festivals including Just For Laughs. Ramos’ also has a good relationship with HBO which picked up his set for its Latin-American stand-up showcase special, Entre Nos Part 1. Apart from streaming, Ramos’ acting credits include Showtime’s Shameless, the animated film Rio, and Cartoon Network’s Victor and Valentino.
Ramos has fought his way through to get showcases and festivals including the CBS Multicultural Diversity Showcase which had a 0.002% acceptance rate. He also won first place at the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, earning him a documentary about his rise as a comedian for Latino Out Loud (LOL).
