It's officially been over 10 years since comedian, musician & pop culture legend "Weird Al" Yankovic has properly released new music (and rightfully so). Given his busy touring schedule, releasing his 2022 fictionalized & Emmy award winning biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, plus a handful of remixes & scattered tracks, the man has indeed kept busy for all the best reasons. His last album, Mandatory Fun, celebrated its 10th anniversary this week and made history for being the first comedy album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
To celebrate the massive milestone, the five time Grammy award winner returned with his brand new song and its accompanying music video for "Polkamania," available everywhere now you stream music.

The new song is a medley of a dozen of the biggest pop hits of the last decade featuring everyone from Lin Manuel-Miranda's "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Encanto (2021), Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" (2019), Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" (2017), and even Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" (2014). Its accompanying music video couldn't be more wonderfully animated paying homage to Yankovic's previous videos for "But For All The Right Reasons" & "Albuquerque."
“So many big hits in the last decade have been desperately crying out for the polka treatment,” said Yankovic about the new release, “so I figured the 10-year anniversary of ‘Mandatory Fun’ was the perfect excuse to do just that.”
