A New Mitch Hedberg Documentary Is In The Works

Mitch Hedberg had without a doubt one of most distinctive comedic voices we’ve ever heard. From his laidback setup to delivery, he was a machine when it came to rapid fire jokes and observations. While Hedberg sadly passed away in 2005, his legacy and humor has still lived on.

Everything to know about the new Mitch Hedberg documentary.

Hedberg is going to be further immortalized in a new documentary. Directed by Jeff Siegel and Michael Blieden, the filmmakers have conducted over 100 interviews for the documentary, including with Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, B.J. Novak, Margaret Cho, Dave AttellDoug StanhopeTodd Barry, Felicia Michaels, Al Madrigal, Todd Glass, Greg Fitzsimmons, Brendon Small, Gary Gulman, Nick Swardsonand countless others.

“A lot of people have had a lot to say for a very long time, but no one to say it to until now,” says director Jeff Siegel, a 2024 Emmy nominee. “It’s taken many years to connect with nearly everyone who was a part of Mitch’s life and piece together his largely unknown story. All that most people know is that he was hilarious and died young, but he was so much more than that.”

The documentary will also feature never before seen archives and home movies to further give you a glimpse into Hedberg’s life. You’ll get to see a side of him as he hit the road as a comic that you’ve never seen before.

A release date is still underway. But we can’t wait to hear more!
