Nasim Pedrad in season two of Chad.

Nasim Pedrad's "Chad" Is Finally Back For Season 2 On Roku

Chad is finally going back to school!

Nasim Pedrad's coming-of-age teen comedy series, Chad, is coming back to its new home on Roku Channel beginning January 19th.

Catch me up on Nasim Pedrad's series "Chad."

This series, which has been a long time passion project for Pedrad, has had a lengthy road since completing its first season, working to find a new network home & going through a couple delays.

The TV show premiered its first season & aired on TBS in April 2021. It was renewed for a second season under TBS, it even had an April 2022 premiere date and was pulled in response to the Warner Bros. Discovery merger (the studio behind the show).

It was announced over a year ago that Chad found its new home at Roku and nothing had been mentioned by the streamer or Pedrad on when the show would be coming back. And now we finally have a date & a new trailer for the new season (watch the season two trailer above).

What to expect from season 2 of "Chad."

The second season follows 15-year-old teenage boy Chad Amani (played by Pedrad) as he's entering his sophomore year of high school with a new set of challenges. Including his newfound popularity being under threat, his friendship with best friend Peter is being put to the test, and his prepubescent attention is captivated by a new crush, all while Chad continues to come to terms with his cultural identity.

The show was created by Saturday Night Live alum Nasim Pedrad, where she also stars and serves as an executive producer. Fellow EPs are Oliver Obst, Rob Rosell, Max Searle, Rhys Thomas.

Also starring on the show is Alexa Loo, Jake Ryan, Saba Homayoon, Paul Chahidi, Ella Mika, Thomas Barbusca, & Sara Malal Rowe.

When does "Chad" season two premiere?

The second season of Chad premieres on Roku Channel January 19th.
