Chris Distefano has announced he's bringing his newest comedy special to Hulu!
The stand-up comedian-podcaster now joins the ranks of Hulu's growing stand-up comedy banner Hularious which includes its upcoming specials from the likes of Jessica Kirson, Atsuko Okatsuka, Ilana Glazer, Roy Wood Jr., Bill Burr & Jim Gaffigan.

The new hour long special is titled It's Just Unfortunate & he's teamed up with fellow comic & late night vet Jimmy Kimmel to executive produce via Kimmelot Productions. This will mark his overall third special following his 2022 Netflix special Speshy Weshy (which is now no longer on the platform) & his 2019 Comedy Central special Size 38 Waist.
There're no word on a premiere date, a synopsis or when the new special was taped as it's likely premiering in 2025.
The official kick off Hulu's entry with original stand-up specials begins on November 20th with Jim Gaffigan's upcoming special The Skinny, then Ilana Glazer's Human Magic on December 20th & later premiering one new original stand-up special a month. Hulu's head of scripted content Jordan Helman told The Hollywood Reporter that "The mantra [for Hularious] is very much quality over quantity."
In addition to releasing their own stand-up specials, the streamer has licensed dozens of specials currently streaming on the platform including a slate from 800 Pound Gorilla, Comedy Dynamics & Don't Tell Comedy!
Leading up to the announce of It's Just Unfortunate, Distefano recently executive produced Mike Cannon's newest special, Traumatized Animal, with whom he co-hosts the Chrissy Chaos Podcast. He's also been the co-host of the Hey Babe podcast with Impractical Joker Sal Vulcano, which is currently on a temporary hiatus.
