Foxx is ready to set the record straight in a new Netflix special. That special - titled What Had Happened Was - marks his first for the streamer, and also a return to stand-up for Foxx. The comedian hasn’t released a special since 2003, so this is definitely a long-awaited return for fans.
The trailer for the special dropped today. In the trailer, we can see Foxx be given a warm welcome as he steps onstage, teasing us with the title of the special. In the hour, he tells the audience "If I can stay funny, I can stay alive.”
According to the official synopsis, Foxx “expresses deep gratitude to those who prayed and supported his recovery, turning this performance into a touching thank you to his fans. This comedy event is a celebration of resilience, humor, and the power of community, reminding us all of the healing power of laughter.”
