Netflix is gearing up to what's looking to be a massive month for the streamer's comedy programing this August. After recently announcing Joe Rogan's next special Burn the Boats will be live streamed on August 3rd, Netflix has announced a date & revealed the title for Matt Rife's previously announced crowd work special, Lucid, premiering on August 13th (check out the trailer above).

In Lucid, Matt gets up close and personal with his audience for a full hour of crowd work. "This show is going to be different from anything you've seen live or on Netflix before" Rife says in the special's first trailer. When warning the crowd, he says, "This is an entire crowd work special. I don't know what you or I will say. I want you to be aware you are equally as at fault for how this goes as I am."

Filmed at The Comedy Zone in Charlotte, NC this past May, this new crowd work special marks the first of its kind for Netflix & Rife's second special for the streaming giant following last year's Natural Selection. Rife reunites with frequent collaborator, Natural Selection director & comedian Erik Griffin to direct the new hour. Executive producing the new special is Rife, his manager Christina Shams as well as Daniel Powell & Alex Bach for Irony Point.

Rife is currently on his ongoing ProbleMATTic World Tour & was most recently appeared in a cameo on Netflix's That '90s Show Part 2.

When does "Matt Rife: Lucid - A Crowd Work Special" premiere on Netflix?

The new special premieres globally on Netflix August 13th.
