Seth Meyers has a new comedy special in the books & has announced he's taking it to HBO this Fall!

Everything to know about Seth Meyers' new HBO comedy special.

The new hour, currently untitled, will be his second comedy special following his critically acclaimed debut Netflix special, Lobby Baby, which earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special. For this new hour, Meyers re-teamed with friend & fellow stand-up comedian Neal Brennan to direct the new hour taped this past June at the Vic Theatre in Chicago. Meyers & Mike Shoemaker serve as executive producers for the HBO special through Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions with Irwin Entertainment producing.

Meyers says about his upcoming new special in a press release, “Critics say it’s the special my kids will be talking about in therapy twenty years from now!”

Nina Rosenstein, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming, Late Night and Specials adds, As longtime fans, we’re so happy to partner with Seth on his first HBO special. He’s such a charismatic storyteller and we’ve always loved the way he reaches people on such a personal level. This special is endlessly relatable and so much fun to watch.”

Meyers has had a pretty lauded 2024 so far. His esteemed late night series, Late Night With Seth Meyers, is celebrating 10 years on NBC this year and just earned another Emmy nomination for Outstanding Talk Series. He's also been hosting two comedy podcasts this year: The Lonely Island & Seth Meyers Podcast & Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers. The revered comic & writer was a cast member on Saturday Night Live for 13 seasons beginning in 2001, where he served as head writer for nine seasons & Weekend Update anchor for eight seasons.

We can't wait to see a first look at the anticipated new special later this year!
