This Week In Comedy: "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" Opens In Theaters

This Week In Comedy: grab your flight suit & your proton pack because the nearly three year long wait is finally over, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire opens in theaters this Friday. In the second installment of this newly revived franchise, the series picks up where it left off in Afterlife with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an army of ghosts that casts a death chill upon the city, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

Also this week: it's another killer lineup for stand-up specials. Ramy Youssef returns to HBO to follow up his 2019 hour, Feelings, with his very recently taped & aptly titled new special, More Feelings. Brian Simpson releases his debut stand-up special this week, Live From The Mothership, which is not only the second special released so far to be taped at Joe Rogan's comedy club The Comedy Mothership (following David Lucas' half-hour special Uncancellable on YouTube), it also marks the first Netflix special recorded at the esteemed Austin, Texas comedy mecca.

800 Pound Gorilla also has some great specials coming up this week with Modi's debut special, Know Your Audience, & Dan Rath's latest special, I'm Not Doing Well Folks.

And finally: SNL alum Kristen Wiig stars in the new comedy mini-series, Palm Royale, premiering on Apple TV+.
