This Week In Comedy: Podcast host & comedian Joe Rogan is making a mighty return to Netflix for his first comedy special in six years, Burn The Boats, premiering live on Netflix this Saturday night. This new special marks Netflix's third comedy special to premiere live following Katt Williams: Woke Foke & Chris Rock: Selective Outrage. For Rogan, this marks his third special for the streamer following Strange Times in 2018 & Triggered in 2016. The Joe Rogan Experience host will be performing this new hour live from the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, TX.

Also this week on the stand-up comedy front: coming to 800 Pound Gorilla's YouTube this week is Ted Alexandro's fantastic hour & fifth stand-up special Cut/Up & Aussie comic Celia Pacquola's hysterical new special Let Me Know How It All Works Out. Releasing with 800 Pound Gorilla is Mary Beth Barone's accompanying comedy album to her solid debut comedy special Thought Provoking.

Also releasing new hours this week is Carmen Christopher's new special Live From The Windy City & Nick Alexander's self titled special Presents Nick Alexander. Christopher teamed up with I Think You Should Leave's Tim Robinson & Zach Kanin to produce the new hour which premieres on Veeps this Thursday. Alexander's debut special is releasing with Comedy Dynamics, where he directed alongside Ernest Crosby & Jonathan Simon.

On the television front: while all of late night may be dark this week given the 2024 Summer Olympics taking place, there are two great comedy series returning for new seasons. Futurama returns for its 12th season on Hulu, where "our occasionally heroic crew embarks on mind-bending adventures involving birthday party games to the death, the secrets of Bender's ancestral robot village, A.I. friends (and enemies), impossibly cute beanbags, and the true 5 million-year-old story behind the consciousness-altering substance known as coffee." Unstable, starring Rob Lowe & John Owen Lowe, returns for its 2nd season on Netflix, the show that follows the father-son pair at a biotech firm where Jackson (John Owen) is tasked with saving his father Ellis' (Rob) company & salvaging their estranged relationship all while trying to escape "the shadow of his larger-than-life father."
