Just days after reporting on HBO's newest series order, an untitled ensemble comedy series starring Bottoms' Rachel Sennott, the network has green-lit its newest half-hour comedy series starring I Think You Should Leave's Tim Robinson called The Chair Company.

The new show is lead by an exciting & all-star crew of comedy talent including Robinson's I Think You Should Leave co-creator Zach Kanin & Anchorman filmmaker Adam McKay. Robinson stars, writes & executive produces the new show with Kanin also serving as a writer & executive producer. Also executive producing is McKay & Todd Schulman for HyperObject Industries & Igor Srubshchik.

In the new show, The Chair Company, we follow a man named William Ronald Trosper (played by Robinson) who "after an embarrassing incident at work finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy."

What Tim Robinson & HBO are saying about the new HBO comedy series, "The Chair Company."

“With an imprint only Tim and Zach can have on a character, William Ronald Trosper follows in the strong tradition of HBO comedy leads. I couldn’t be happier to announce the pickup of this wildly enjoyable show,” says Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO & Max Comedy Programming.

“We are so excited and thankful to get to make this show with HBO, HyperObject, and all of the amazing cast and crew that have helped to create it” adds Robinson & Kanin in a joint statement.

In addition to Robinson starring, series regulars include Lake Bell (Harley Quinn, Mother Couch) as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis (It, I Am Not Okay With This) as Natalie Trosper, Will Price (After the Hunt, A Complete Unknown) as Seth Trosper, & Joseph Tudisco (A Brooklyn Love Story, FBI) as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips (Search Party, Easter Sunday) guest starred in the pilot as Jeff Levjman.

Robinson & Kanin most recently appeared together at Netflix Is A Joke Fest earlier this year for a star-studded show at the Greek Theatre celebrating their hit & award winning comedy series. They also teamed up earlier this summer to produce Carmen Christopher's new special on Veeps, Live From The Windy City.
