Matteo Lane has landed at Hulu as the home for his new comedy special, the comedian, podcaster & actor announced today!
Everything to know about Matteo Lane's new Hulu comedy special.
The new special, currently untitled, will be taped later this month on October 24th at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California (as 800 Pound Gorilla News previously reported in its monthly Special Tapings Radar). The comic will join Hulu's illustrious stand-up comedy lineup for original stand-up specials under its banner "Hularious." Among those in the lineup include his Teach Me Daddy podcast co-host Chris Distefano as well as Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, Roy Wood Jr., Ilana Glazer, Atsuko Okatsuka, & Jessica Kirson.
In addition to releasing its own stand-up specials, the streamer has licensed dozens of specials currently streaming on the platform including a slate from 800 Pound Gorilla, Comedy Dynamics & Don't Tell Comedy.
Lane jokes in a statement about his next comedy special: “I am thrilled to be part of the Disney Hulu family. This is the closest I’ll get to becoming the 5th Golden Girl.”
Lane is currently on his "Can't Stop Talking Tour" which kicked off earlier this summer & is currently hitting theaters & comedy clubs across the country. The upcoming special will follow his 2023 comedy special, Hair Plugs & Heartache, as well as his Advice Special in 2022 (both released on YouTube where he boasts an impressive over 1 million subscribers). He most recently appeared in the Netflix queer stand-up documentary Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution, which premiered on the platform this past June.
